Mrs. Louis Etheart, born Yvonne Day in Port-au Prince, Haiti, on June 23, 1913, celebrated her one-hundredth birthday in 2013. Her wish was to mobilize others to open their hearts and realize the wealth of sympathy, kindness, and generosity hidden in the soul of a child. That is how Yvonne's 100th Wish, Inc. was established as a charitable organization.
As a native of the country, her firsthand experience moved us to come together and do everything we can to help the people of Haiti. We are dedicated to reducing the negative impact of poverty throughout the region by providing them with critical supplies. Meanwhile, our highly trained staff goes above and beyond to implement better education and healthcare programs in the local communities.

Yvonne's 100th Wish, Inc.'s mission is to provide opportunities while enhancing the quality of life for children and adolescents in Haiti, by providing access to education, healthcare, potable water and proper nourishment. Founded in 2013, received its title 501 (c)3 in Sept 2014. Yvonne's 100th Wish, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit dedicated to improving educational attainment, quality of life, and health for all children living in Haiti.
In the southern region of Haiti, underdeveloped communities struggle daily to provide their citizens with basic needs. Delatte and La Vallee de Jacmel are two small, rural societies that have been neglected and forgotten, and they lack access to necessities. With populations of 25,000 and 60,000, respectively, these areas require crucial assistance. That's where our nonprofit organization comes in.
Throughout the area, parents are unable to send their children to school due to financial issues. Because of their limited income, they cannot cut costs to afford an education without giving up food. Additionally, Delatte has only one school, which means access to schooling is limited.
Yvonne’s 100th Wish focuses on capacity building for educators/teachers, school administrators and parenting. We also want to ensure the population has access to better healthcare, so we are doing everything we can to bring these essentials to the community. Our organization strives to break the cycle of poverty and improve the overall quality of life for both children and parents throughout Haiti.
